New York is and has always been amazing. Now they have come out with a book that represent the city that never sleeps through the years. The book called “New York, Portrait of a City” is an amazing story with many good photographs that shows how New York has developed. It contains over 100 images from 150 different and talented photographers.

The sources are from several private archives, and many of the pictures have never been published before. The book are covering the period from the mid-19th century till today, and everything is represented; The Jazz Age, Disco era, the Depression, the crazy nightlife and of course the attack on 9/11.

To complete the whole mood the book contains a lot of famous quotations from movies, songs, books, etc. New York is the perfect city to photograph, here are some other beautiful photos of the city when it sleeps.
