| Posted: 01 Feb 2011 06:28 AM PST The Optimus Prime is known as a fictional character from the Transformers franchise. The Finnish artist Antti Pedrozo and Dutch artist Michel de Kok has sculpted the Optimus Prime out of ice! It looks majestic and cold of course, but not so scary anymore, not to me at least.
It must have been pretty cold making the sculpture because you can’t be in an environment where it’s warm while creating something out of ice, and just imagine the hours they had to work on this one, maybe even days. It is pretty tall; 8 meters. You would almost have thought that without the colors Optimus Prime would look dull and boring, but that is far away from it.
The ice definitely represent the cold calmness the Optimus Prime has, his majestic and nerves-of-steel-personality. Other artists have created robots out of rubber, imagine that.
